GIDE
International Design Sprint
GIDE is an international design sprint that was hosted in Dundee this year, involving students and lecturers from 8 different countries. It is exciting and fast-paced, including 150 people from 4 different disciplines with a theme of Mobile Museum this year. Projects were conceptualized into service designs, mobile spaces and interactive objects with an emphasis on different Dundee landmarks.
Together with my group, we designed an interactive game made from found objects that gives users an insight into the hard work put in by the female workers in the Verdant Works Jute Mill. Users need to work together to complete the task, highlighting the working conditions and the need for unity and collaboration for the just process to run smoothly. Overall it is a very playful response to the brief with a fun interactive outcome.
